These useful idiots are a valuable resource.
Prior to me being permanently under wardecs, I used to do only urgent hauling myself, and had a limit: 50 million in a T1 hauler, 200 million in a Gnosis (they actually can haul more than you think, with a decent shield tank and serious EWAR in the form of neuts), and 2 billion in an interceptor.
Anything that requires an Orca or a freighter is split into parcels of a billion or less (preferably much less) and placed up as a ridiculously low paying contract if it's not urgent, and a merely low paying one if it is. I do similar things however I go to about 100 mil in haulers (tanked, piloted, and warp stabbed) faction modules, blue loot, nano-ribbons and the like go in bait tanked combat ships (drakes/gnosis/prophecy/T3) never had a problem with them
an Interceptor on the other hand I have lost to a gate camp. I was on my way (thank bob) to Jita to pick up a fed navy stasis web, took a shortcut through low and lost it to another interceptor and a gnosis, I'm guessing the interceptor was probly Sebo'd and remote sebo'd by the gnosis and i only had one nanofiber on as well.
I also lost a bomber during a wardec undocking in Amarr, I thought I could make it to an insta-undock, but as it turns out with enough Sebo's you can lock even a frigate in the time it takes to initiate warp (when you lose your invulnerability) to the time they actually do warp even if they are prealigned
Point is enough Sebo's will get you I would not trust 2 bill in a frigate. |

About what cap on the value of my cargo should I place so that people won't bother? I've been at 60m so far without any problems. Is 100m pushing it too far?
Thanks, Ive gone up to 150 in haulers and never had a problem, also since at that level you are most likely to be attacked by blaster catalysts stacking kinetic/therm resists will help your shield go farther |
